The Four Queens
Once upon a time, in a reality not so far away, there was a Knight.
He was no ordinary Knight. He had no shinny armour or even a sword.
He had no King nor was he an heroic type of knight.
His dragons were not green, big or fleshy.
He called them ghosts.
He lived for his dreams.
Let me tell you all about it..
It so happened that this Knight had a strange quest.
He convinced himself that honour, passion and poetry were some sort of fashion on his days.
He convinced himself that his seek was his life's goal
He needed a princess whom to share that storm within.. it seemed to grow stronger and violentlly from day to day within him..
His insanity kept pushing him further on his quest for a princess
On his journey across the lands he found the first one.
She was the queen of hearts.
Man..was she perfect for him. Seemed like a godess.. she told him all
about love and deliverance. She showed him places beyond the skin and
horizons filled with ecstasy.
The knight thought...I've found it.. my queen of hearts.
He started to live a normal and happy life with her.. things just couldn't be better...but...(these stories always seme to have a "but", don't they?) onde day... a dragon appeared. His name was Balthazar.
And he whispered on our Knight's ear..
- "What about the other Queens? Just think about it.. you found this one so easily, think of what you could find if you at least try a little.
Think about it... this one is so perfect.. surely there are ones even
better than this one... "
And our knight started to doubt. And he decided that his search should go on.
And there he went with his heart torn. He was positive that Balthazar was right.
Further on the road, he found another princess.. Queen of Spades.
Hey..this was no ordinary queen.. she uses a spade on her dayly walks on a far away kingdom.
At first he didn't even care for her but she seemed like a little bug.. always calling out for him and acting weary. Well.. our Knight thought.. what the heck! Let's give her
a try. So he started to engage on a weird and loosely dialog with this queen.. instead of caring for her looks, he decided to know this Queen of War from the inside-out (as he did with all the queens from now on)
She opened herself to him over and over again. Swore her alliegence.
She gave herself to him. And once said to him "You're breakin me"
He was not taking it very seriously until then. He thought oh well.. she's just playing me the fool.
As time went on he started to see changes.. and round here he thought, something radiates. And it's so special
Life went on.. and suddenly the Queen of Clubs appears.
Out of nowhere. And he thought.. who is this queen? She uses woods for a house, and she's not even a major player. What?..how?..when? This queen is the smarter of them all. She approches our Knight with mathematical logic and a true hearts friendship. The knight was thrilled. He never had a chance to duel with an equal. Then someting strange happened..almost mystical. They duelled and surrended to each other on a sworn alliegence of friendship that would go on and on till the end of this tale.
Our knight was lost from all. All he wanted was to engage in stupid wars.
One day, on the field of battle with the armies crying out loud, the enemy faced him with a white flag. At first he didn't believe it.
Who is this enemy? And why does this enemy offers the knight truces?
He accepted it and started to study his former enemy.. she came from
the east and something tickled him. He could not discover what. But
he knew it was strong. It was the Queen of Diamonds. He was fooled. He did not care anymore. He let himself go... he got blind. All he saw was the flashy diamonds that she carried inside. Like little drops of heaven. This time he would no lead the dance. That's her job. She could dance throughtout the battle. And our Kinght made no mistakes. He kew he was still in battle...and this time, a battle for keeps.
Our Knight seems to keep looking for a Queen that is the sum of these
four Queens.
Now all you readers are asking yourselves..
what about the rest?
And the answer is... the rest is yet to be lived.
